Users need the ability to filter completed tasks directly by task type from the Completed Tasks page. While the Open Maintenance Tasks page already includes a Task Type filter, this option is missing from the Completed Tasks page. The inconsistency forces users to rely on custom dashboards or manual searches, which slows down workflows and adds unnecessary steps.
Current Limitations
- No Task Type Filter on Completed Tasks: Unlike the Open Maintenance Tasks page, Completed Tasks does not allow filtering by type.
- Widget Dependency: Users must create a Custom Dashboard widget if they want to analyze completed tasks by type.
- Inconsistent User Experience: Filtering options are not consistent across pages, creating confusion and inefficiency.
General Example
- On the Open Maintenance Tasks page, a supervisor can quickly filter by type (e.g., Preventive Maintenance, Work Request, Inspection) to isolate relevant tasks.
- On the Completed Tasks page, that same filter is missing. To see completed PMs or Work Requests, the supervisor must either build a dashboard widget or sift through tasks manually.
- This creates frustration, especially for users who prefer working from the Completed Tasks view rather than dashboards.
Requested Enhancements
- Add Task Type Filter to Completed Tasks Page
Include the same Task Type filter available on the Open Maintenance Tasks page. - Consistency Across Pages
Ensure that filtering options are uniform across Open, Completed, and Dashboard views. - Optional Saved Views
Let users save default filters (e.g., always view completed PM tasks) for quick and consistent access.
Business Value
- Efficiency: Eliminates the need to create dashboards for basic filtering.
- Consistency: Provides a uniform experience across all task-related pages.
- Flexibility: Supports both dashboard users and those who prefer page-level workflows.
- Clarity: Makes it faster to analyze completed work by type, improving visibility into maintenance performance.
