Enhancement Request – Bulk Update Asset on Completed Work Orders
Currently, Limble does not support bulk updating the asset field for completed Work Orders. This limitation can be challenging when assets are reorganized or renamed, or when WOs were initially assigned to incorrect assets due to setup errors or evolving operational needs.
Suggested Enhancement: Introduce functionality that allows users to bulk update the asset associated with completed Work Orders. This could be implemented via:
- A bulk edit tool within the WO history view.
- A CSV import/export feature for asset reassignment.
- A workflow automation or API endpoint that supports this update.
Business Justification: This enhancement would significantly improve data accuracy and historical traceability. In large-scale operations, especially in environments like grain facilities or barge operations, asset structures may evolve over time. Being able to retroactively correct WO associations ensures:
- Accurate maintenance history per asset.
- Better reporting and analytics.
- Reduced manual effort and risk of errors during data cleanup.
Impact: This feature would benefit teams managing hundreds or thousands of assets and WOs, especially during system migrations, audits, or operational restructuring.
