Overview
Customers want a fast, automated way to identify assets that have more than one open task so maintenance teams can detect duplicate requests, recognize multiple issues on the same machine, and bundle work efficiently instead of reviewing tasks individually.
Current Limitations
• Dashboard list widgets cannot be filtered or grouped to show only assets with more than one associated open task.
• Users must rely on manual workarounds, such as sorting task lists by asset name and visually scanning for duplicates.
• This manual process is time-consuming and prone to oversight, especially in environments with a high volume of open tasks.
General Example
A planner reviews a dashboard with dozens of open tasks. Multiple tasks exist for the same CNC machine, but they are only visible by sorting the task list by Asset and manually noticing repeated names. As a result, related issues may be scheduled separately, increasing downtime and inefficiency.
Requested Enhancements
- Add a list-style dashboard widget option that can display assets with more than one open task.
- Introduce a widget-level filter or rule (e.g., “Assets with >1 open task”).
- Allow grouping or aggregation by Asset within task list widgets, with a count of open tasks per asset.
- Enable easy identification of duplicate or multi-issue assets for prioritization and combined scheduling.
Business Value
• Reduces manual review and sorting of task lists.
• Helps teams quickly identify duplicate requests and related issues.
• Improves maintenance planning by enabling bundled work on the same asset.
• Decreases asset downtime and increases operational efficiency.
