Overview
Users managing large volumes of PM templates need the ability to efficiently perform bulk updates across multiple items. Current bulk actions are limited and do not support deeper operational changes, forcing repetitive manual edits and slowing down workflow.
Current Limitations
• Limited bulk action capabilities restrict efficiency when managing many PMs
• Users must open and edit PMs individually for common updates
• No persistent selection behavior across pages or filters
• Bulk actions do not support key operational fields like scheduling or assignments
General Example
A user needs to update 30 PM templates to a new schedule or assign them to a different technician. Currently, they must open and edit each PM individually, repeating the same steps dozens of times.
Requested Enhancements
- Expand multi-select capabilities to support advanced bulk actions:
- Change schedule (frequency, dates, intervals)
- Reassign technician(s) or teams
- Update priority levels
- Modify categories or tags
- Update associated assets (where applicable)
- Allow persistent selection across pagination and filtering (select items on multiple pages before applying action)
- Provide a clear summary before applying bulk changes (confirmation modal showing impacted PMs)
- Add “Select All” options:
- Select all on current page
- Select all matching current filter/search
- Ensure bulk updates are processed reliably without UI resets or loss of context
Business Value
• Eliminates repetitive manual edits across large PM datasets
• Dramatically improves efficiency for maintenance planners and admins
• Reduces risk of inconsistent data due to manual updates
• Enables scalable PM management as systems grow
