Overview
Users managing large volumes of PM templates experience inefficiencies due to rigid pagination, poor layout utilization, and disruptive navigation behavior. The current interface limits visibility, resets user position, and lacks flexibility needed for efficient review and editing.
Current Limitations
• No grouping or categorization of PM templates
• Opening/closing PMs resets scroll position and causes UI flicker
• Fixed item counts (5, 10, 20, etc.) do not adapt to screen size
• Excess whitespace reduces usable screen space
• Pagination shifts position and is not fixed on screen
• No direct navigation to a specific page
• No total PM count displayed
• Header/search consumes space while scrolling
• No row index indicators
• No highlight for last opened PM
General Example
A user scrolls through a large list, opens a PM near the bottom, and upon closing it is returned to the top. Pagination controls move as they navigate, and unused space prevents more items from being visible, slowing down the entire process.
Requested Enhancements
- Dynamic row display that fits screen height automatically
- Preserve scroll position and eliminate page refresh behavior
- Add grouping with collapsible sections (asset, category, etc.)
- Add direct page navigation (jump to page input/dropdown)
- Display total count (e.g., “Showing 1–50 of 642”)
- Add static row numbering (1–X per page, independent of sorting)
- Highlight last opened PM after closing
- Fix pagination position (or duplicate at top and bottom)
- Optimize layout to remove unused whitespace
- Allow header/search to collapse while scrolling
- Ensure consistent behavior across platform
Business Value
• Reduces time spent navigating large PM lists
• Improves efficiency and user satisfaction
• Maximizes screen utilization
• Creates a more modern and responsive UI
• Supports scalable operations for larger datasets
