Overview
More flexible and accessible search functionality is needed throughout the CMMS, especially within the Asset and Part tabs. Success would include the ability to search or filter individual fields directly, use magnifying-glass search controls near each field, support numeric comparison filters such as less than and greater than for quantity fields, or access a centralized advanced search experience for more precise filtering and navigation.
Current Limitations
• Users currently have limited search flexibility when working in the Asset and Part tabs.
• Existing search and filter options may not allow users to target specific fields quickly.
• Users must rely on broader filters or manual scanning when they need to locate records by values such as Asset ID, Model, Manufacturer, Location, Part Number, Quantity, or Thresholds.
