Just curious to see what the community has to say on this topic. Recently our PMP has been going down due to a large volume of maintenance requests coming in and being fulfilled. Some of these are corrective maintenance while others are for improving the station/office.
I'm wondering if all of our maintenance requests should have a final step where the tech turns them into a Planned WO after performing the initial investigation. If the fix is simple (i.e. tighten a bolt, turn the power on, etc) then obviously we don't need a full WO for that and the tech can just fix it on the spot. But for larger fixes/improvements would it be better to close out the request and create a new WO?
