Overview
Improve dropdown usability across Limble by applying consistent search, alphabetical sorting, and keyboard navigation behavior wherever users select from long custom-field option lists. The current experience varies depending on where the dropdown is opened, making large lists difficult to use.
Current Limitations
• Some dropdowns include a search box, while the same or similar dropdowns in other areas do not.
• Manufacturer dropdowns can contain hundreds of options but may display them in the order they were originally created rather than alphabetically.
• Users must manually scan long lists when search is unavailable.
• Keyboard navigation/type-ahead is not supported.
• The same custom field can therefore behave differently depending on whether it is being used on Manage Assets, Manage Parts, an individual Asset, or another screen.
