Overview
Allow users to specify how an individual manual inventory adjustment should affect inventory costing without changing the organization's default FIFO/LIFO configuration.
Current Limitations
• FIFO/LIFO behavior is controlled by the broader inventory configuration.
• A user cannot indicate that a particular manual stock adjustment should be treated differently.
• Parts received at different costs can result in multiple inventory cost layers.
• Manual corrections may need to remove or adjust a specific cost layer rather than automatically following the account-wide behavior.
General Example
A part has inventory received from multiple POs at different costs. The organization normally uses FIFO, but the user knows a manual quantity correction relates specifically to the newest inventory layer. There is currently no way to indicate that the adjustment should consume the newest layer instead.
